YouTube Offers 15,000 Music Tracks For Your Videos

Need something to fill in the awkward silence between your vlog’s unscripted stuttering? YouTube’s got your back.  In yet another attempt to make your crummy videos just a little better, the streaming outfit has revamped its audio editing suite, giving users access to over 150,000 tracks and a simple sound mixer, to boot. Sure, YouTube’s tracks may not be as catchy as your favorite Flaming Lips single, but at least you won’t have to worry about copyright infringement.

Be Warned: Google Is Following You

25 Jan

google

Google Inc. is overhauling the way it treats user data, linking information across its array of email, video and social-networking services so that information gathered in one place can be used in another.

For example, if you spent the last hour logged into Google to search the Web for skateboards, the next time you log into YouTube, there’s a good chance you’ll get recommendations for videos featuring Tony Hawk.

The changes take effect March 1 and remove some of the legal hurdles that Google faced by having more than 70 different privacy policies across various services. Now, there will be one main policy covering services such as Google Plus, Gmail, search, YouTube and Maps, with separate ones covering sensitive services such as Google Wallet.

Someone is Watching A Lot Of YouTube!

YouTube, Google Inc’s video website, is streaming 4 billion online videos every day, a 25 percent increase in the past eight months, according to the company.

The jump in video views comes as Google pushes YouTube beyond the personal computer, with versions of the site that work on smartphones and televisions, and as the company steps up efforts to offer more professional-grade content on the site.

According to the company, roughly 60 hours of video is now uploaded to YouTube every minute, compared with the 48 hours of video uploaded per minute in May.

Forget The Most Watched Video On YouTube For 2011. It’s Number 2 We Love!

20 Dec

There were many popular videos on YouTube during this year we call 2011.  More than 1 Trillion Playbacks on the site.  That’s a pretty impressive number.

Rebecca Black was the most watched.  Pretty much over her.  But how about number 2?  We love this talking dog, as his owner teases him about all the good stuff in the refrigerator.  Now this is one to share with your friends and watch over and over.  Poor Doggie.

If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s really worth the look.  If you have, it’s still just as good.
